Hey i just noticed its brainstrains birthday.

Brain Strain

Sitting down at my ‘puter to write out my rhymes.
Why is it that today my body feels so very drained?
I usually can pound out a poem in near-record time,
But I must have a Strain on my poetic Brain!
Brainstrain! Oh, wait an minute, that’s the birthday boy…
Who has spent his whole just wishing that he had a dog!
Wait until you pass 40, David, then you’ll really enjoy
The sound of your own kids begging going on and on and on…
No, really, mon ami, I think that every kid should own a pet,
My own kids have had everything from hamsters to frogs;
They would have had a could of snakes except my wife threw a fit,
Now we have three hamsters, a rabbit, a cat, and my new dog.
So I hope you get what you want for your birthday and don’t strain that brain:
College is coming up you know, and let me tell you, it’s a pain!
