the skeleton

Right this is seriously bugging me! I've been trying to remember this poem i learned in primary school about a skeleton. All i remember is the skeleton goes after a man because he stole the ring from his finger and gave it to his wife.
Think the line "give me my ring" is in it. Have been searching but no luck!
can anyone help me? Am seriously ready to tear my hair out!

I think the man and his wife are lying in bed when the skeleton comes to get his ring.

I found one that sounds familiar but its a old one that I had read when I was a little kid I had read in a book. I'm trying to find it on the net but if all else fails I will just put it on here.

I think it would be a relitively old one. i learnt it as a kid also. Mybe if you type the one you found up in a post i could tell you if its the right one? I had difficulty locating the poem on the net myself! Thanks for your help! you really are living up to your name!

Niamh, this is probably not what you are looking for, as it is quite long, but it is a neat poem by Alfred Tennyson, entitled "The Ring", and I found it in this link (hope it is ok to post this link, I believe that the poem would be public domain):
