I do not recommend it, but am willing to discuss it with anyone who has already been through the torture of watching the whole thing.

I just watched this rendition of Pride & Prejudice last week.
It was made for television, I suspect with a very low budget.
The lighting and sound were very poor.
Some of the writing however was excellent.
The acting was on par with a high school drama club.
The costuming was excellent,
and I think I have seen some of the same furniture in other productions.

It was a somewhat faithful rendition of Jane Austen, bringing forward some dialog that has been ignored by others, yet feeling very free to stir up the conversation and place it out of chronological order.

One of its redeeming qualities is that now I know what it sounds like inside a horse-drawn carriage as it is driving down a stony road.

Another thing I liked about it was the ending,
which I did not care for in the other two versions I have seen.
(Pride and Prejudice (1995) (mini) (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0112130/) and Pride and Prejudice (2005) (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0414387/) )

They portrayed a dinner party at the Bennett's after Bingley proposes.

I liked the way they handled Darcy's second proposal.

Basically, out of 5 hours, I liked the last half hour.

I am glad I was able to rent this because I almost bought it online,
and I would have been very sorry to have wasted my money on it.

LOL, what you read is all there is!
My thanks was only that your critique prevented me from buying the version.

Thank goodness.
I was afraid that I had inadvertently insulted you.
