I use to write my poems with rhyme, mind you. Enjoy!

One fine day, in a kingdom far away, there was a young prince who was told my his parents that it was about time for him to marry a princess. He was from the Reader family. It was not too much of a prestigious family. Nevertheless, they were quite numbered, and all of the prince's siblings had married but himself.

Mr and Mrs Reader were very well acquainted with the well-off, centuries-old, distinguished Poetry family. It so happened that Mr and Mrs Poetry had a two fine daughters, just recently eligible for marriage. They were of the same age, but not at all similar neither in appearence nor in character.

At first sight, it was Miss Rhyme who caught the young prince’s eye. Her beauty dazzled his every sense. His eyes were beholding what he had never even dreamed of seeing in his lifetime. Her grace when walking was unsurpassable, so much so that the rhythm of her steps dictated the tempo of the wind. The way her words flowed from her soft lips was so melodic that the birds, which had been singing with vanity, withdrew mutely to their nests, with jealousness.

Much unlike her sister, Miss Blankverse was so ostentatiously plain that the young prince at first disregarded her, taking her for a simple servant of the household. Even after knowing who she was, he glanced at her no more than twice. It was Miss Rhyme who had his attention. He listened to her for some time until he realised that although she almost hypnotised him with the tone of her voice, she said very little that was actually pleasant to hear. She repeated herself, she said obvious things, she only spoke about trivial matters…

He then turned to Miss Blankverse, who, much to his surprise, was truly enchanting. Her voice may have sounded hoarse, and her figure was everything but symmetrical, but what she was saying really touched his soul. She was capable of delivering bright, unbound, unconventional speeches. For once in that day, the young prince was having a clever, interesting converstaion.

In the end of the day the prince chose Miss Blankverse, who was delighted at the prospect of marrying the prince. He learned that day that inner beauty was more rewarding, for he preferred to have a soul fulfilled for the rest of his life than to have his eyes in rapture for only a period of time. Needless to say, they lived happily ever after.
