I recently had one of my posts deleted by Logos, the new MOD. There was a message that was complete unitelligable, I had know idea what the person was trying to say. So I responded like this:

wow.

That was it. Wow. I just wanted to let you guys know so you could relate to that thread in its entirety as it occured. I would hate for you not to be able to read what happened. It would be just like the ministry of truth. No one wants that.

well i had no idea why/what either, so i clicked on miss sarah's profile for background. (which is how i came across her site.)

i thought that other people had responded besides you; i didn't think you were being snide and figured maybe that was why logos deleted all the replies prior to his post.

the semantics of "setting" may have been confusing. if someone's learning it who doesn't have a background in a romance language, german, danish, (the list of contributing countries to english is long) english is a big bastard of a language to learn. even then it's probably not easy. i sure as hell wouldn't want to have to do it again.

Kik, are you feeling 'kicked'? :D

I saw your post.

I didn't understand her post either and the pink font was incredibly difficult to look at, however, perhaps you could have mentioned that the post was difficult to read. I can understand how your 'wow' could have been misinterpreted.

Logos, perhaps azmuse's (oh, right that would be me) crassly vulgar and inappropo lines in "Dramatic Irony - Exeunt" deserve the incinerator?

just a thought if you're trying to clean up hereabouts.

amuse, no, I won't be going back and moderating older inactive topics.

perhaps the sun should not cast such a shadow over this sad, sad day of reckoning. But we can do this! We can stand up and be people! Thats what i'm all about, being who the other people think we should be but aren't. You see, the nature of the aspect of this problem is so meaningful that if we could JUST GET OFF OUR SEATS and DO something about it, we could....

oh wait... this isn't a thread where we try to say the most without saying anything?... crap... we should make a thread like that.

touche' Den, I sure did garbubbleubblellel bble that post up a bit. ;).

When I saw that my post was deleted, I had literally JUST finished a conversation with a friend who's reading 1984 when my post was deleted. We were talking about the ministry of truth and how changing history could give a faction massive power, and I got on here and overreacted a bit. Logos showed me in the forum rules where it says somthing like "The administration reserves the right to edit, delete, blah blah blah", so I guess the persocution complex has to go. But I still think that Logos should use his MOD powers in the same manner that Admin does, and I don't think that I've ever seen Admin actually delete a post. If Admin was willing to leave Abdo's offensive insanity on the boards, I don't see how Logos can justify deleteing "wow".

Didn't my idea of voting our own Mod make sense?

I still think that it should be up to Admin. I think that Admin has been the most fair, impartial member of this forum for as long as it has been running.
