Vheissu Birthday

The lark, the herald of the morn sang to me,
As I sneezed into a soft facial tissue—
“It’s time to write another birthday melody,
For someone whose name we know is Vheissu.”
Now, I must confess, I have been away of late,
And your name was somewhat new: pleased to meet you!
So this marks that special annual renewal date,
When you first were brand-new issued!
Humans are like rare books and wine,
Each is unique and has qualities that make them of worth.
And age just makes the value increase, not decline—
As we grow away from the day of our birth.
I will not be so crass or rude as to ask you of your vintage:
I can call you sister, though, we’re both human by linage!
