just thought I'd whack something up here

china doll

She stands alone, with raven hair.
And tear stained eyes of coal.
eyes she wished would burn,
but wouldn't.. ..
because the light went out years ago,
doused by too much rain.
And she was.... caught in a storm.
And lost.
And she wishes she was invisible...
but she's really just transparent...
Why, she's just a glass figurine...
And you blew.... and she shattered.

hm, you and fayefaye haven't posted in personal poetry lately so I figured I'd stick something up. Even if it's terrible, you'll just have to bear it. [blame az :)]

these lines spoke well. remind me of counting crows "the contrast of white on white"

what an interesting way to segue simultaneously to and from humanity and the doll...am still trying to wrap my brain around it. it's a bit beyond me, though. so i like it very much. :) :)
