so i need some help analyzing a poem. It was given to one of my friends on valentines day by her boyfriend of three weeks. his writing tends to have deep meanings, and neither of us are anywhere near smart enough to pick them out. we were wondering if someone would help us out. :D


Amber Skye

I want to fly like a bird and ne're land
Never touch my feet on the ground again
And as the sea crashes into the sand
So will my black wings thrash in the wind
As if persecuted by a god's breath
I will try to break free from this tempest
And escape my inevitable death
For I shall choose when I am laid to rest
And when my memory will be erased
Wiped clean from this life to be forgotten
I will ask only for winter's embrace
And for the repercussions begotten
Alas, I hope only that when I die
I will sail away in the Amber Skye.
