Please not to night she cried
Please don't go she begged
One night, one mistake
He loved her he said
She didn't want it
Her heart has taken so much abuse
He could never be there with her
But through his voice
He held her when she cried
When she bled
She never saw that she loved him too
Everyday he said he loved her
Never night she cried when she couldn't say it back
Does he even know?
Was she just living a lie?
With the man who stole her heart
He had no idea
When he walked away
All he said was the he couldn't love someone
That couldn't love him
That night h left her
That night she cried his name
In the dead of the night she cried that she loved him
she didn't see until it was too late
that she loved him, even through the pain
He looked back some weeks later
To tell her he loved her
But he wouldn't find her
He brought a rose to look for her
With a rose he called her name
With a bottle of jack she drowned her pain
In the moon light he looked for her face
Tears masked by a cloudless rain
Watching him walk away
Never did he see the pain in her eyes
Never did she drown her pain
Phantom rain to mask his tears
He knew that she was crying
When he walked away from her
He just never knew that she loved him
So upon that night when he walked away
She drowned her pain with a bottle of jack
And drank herself to death
He found her grave
And as he fell to the ground for what was done
He left the rose, knowing that come morning
She would still be gone
He left the rose
Then cried in the rain
