Two runners ran
in opposite directions
on a quiet street

Two runners running
in differing directions
on opposing sides
of a quiet street

I was facing one and
the other had his back to me
as to the other’s back, and I passed them both
going in the latter’s direction
There was no third direction
for me to cycle in

This one sounds like a poetic narration of a mathematical problem, maybe something related to linear algebra--never knew math could be this pretty.
