Good Morning,
:thumbs_up
I thought of something today and thought of sharing it to see if anyone shares the same feelings....
Charecters like Bilbo baggins, hobbits, even harry potter ...sometimes characters like those can be chosen to be our friend>>>because we seem to like something in them that our friends or even our selfs dont have>>>
question: what charecters did you ever love in a movie or book & what did you learn and why?
to me i think: hobbits have a very serious idea of friendship they are always
together no matter who is a ...what but they stay close!.
Hope you enjoyed the topic....:)

He he! I too like Bilbo and the concept of the small seemingly helpless guy who gains courage and fights back. Then again i like most of "Lord of the rings" characters (that's why it is my favourite book;) even the bad guys like Sarouman (apart from the book, the best character in the movie. Cristopher Lee rules!!).
I generally like dark characters (like "The Crow", both Brandon Lee and Perez)
or Garry Oldman's Dracula (one of my favourite actors also). And most characters played by Cristopher Walken (usually the bad guy bad i love him). The reason for that is because i find them very interesting. And what have i learned? Not to be like them!
As for books i prefer funny characters like Rincewind (in Terry Pratchett's Discworld series) who kind reminds me the clumsy aspect of my character (well..i have the bad habit to drop things. I do it all the time. I am not to be trusted with your best china  ) . Or Don quixote (read it recently for the first time).
As for characters with more depth i like the usual (you know..Jane Eyre, Lizzy Bennet etc).

Well I really like Jane Eyre Of Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte...I would really like to meet her.I just can't explain why I like her. She's just...well she's she..(I can't express myself )
And I sure like Legolas Greenleaf from Lord Of the Rings. He and Gimli are such friends...its rather nice to see them I mean two entirely different people being Friends...The Hobbits are great too especially the Four of them. And can't leave out Aragorn now can I? ;)
I also like Sherlock Holmes and Watson...The novels have this underlying mystery in some of them its exciting.
I can go on and on you know But I'll stop for now ;) .

Oh, goody goody gumdrops. A place to talk about my favorite characters. (You have been warned.)
Well, now that we are on the topic of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, I love that movie and Johnny Depp as Willy Wonka is just too perfect. My favorite kid of the five golden ticket winners is Mike Teavee because he's so sarcastic and proud. Gotta love him. <3 Not to mention his Oompa Loompa song is awesome.
I'm currently am majorly obsessing over Dr. Clayton Forrester from Mystery Science Theater 3000 because I love mad scientists and he is by far the best one I've seen. I mean, come on! Just LOOK at my avatar and signature! He's so hilarious.
E.K. Hornbeck from Inherit the Wind is wicked. He's so cynical and sarcastic. He also has the best lines in the play.
Drummond: "Ever been in love, Hornbeck?"
Hornbeck: "Only with the sound of my own words, thank God."
Now whenever I see an apple I think of him.
Antonio Salieri from Amadeus is so evil. 'Nuff said.
Sydney Carton is my all time favorite literary character. I love how deep he is and his problems are believeable and easy to empathize with. (No, I am NOT an inebriate.) Not to mention he is so noble at the end of the novel.
I love Marvin in The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. I just wanna hug him! "Pardon me for breathing which I never do anyway, so I don't even know why I bother to say it. Oh, GOD, I'm so depressed."
I could go on and on about my favorite characters, but in summary, I tend to like the cynical/underdog/villianous/depressed characters the most. (And they are usually males.) As for being friends with them, I can so imagine myself poking fun at things with Hornbeck. So there you go.
On a side note I have two characters that I really like who are actually the "good guys" even though there's a very fine line between good and evil in this show. They are the Elric brothers from Fullmetal Alchemist. They have such a true brotherly bond it's amazing.
