this will help me to understand everyone a little better. you know the old question we have all asked ourselves at one time or another, if you were able to have three wishes, and only three wishes, what would they be?

i wish for unlimited funds and the ability to not let it change me (is it cheating to have a two part wish if they are directly connected?)

and i wish that my son grows up to be happy and successful in his endeavors

My wishes then -
1, that love would really be the answer to evrything.
2, that I could dance ballet or do somersault - I´ll just count that as one.
3, that I could shapeshift into a cat at will, and climb the bookshelf, or trees and sit at the highest top of evrything, seeing as far as my green eyes could see. Look ma, I´m on top of the world.

Mine:
1) Wish for people with interesting and sensible wishes to be able to see them realized (that way, I'll hopefully get a few of mine, but spending only one).

The others are irrelevant, assuming the first one works. If it doesn't, it's the usual: love, immortality, finantial asseguration, etc. Or, some magical powers that encompass all the things I mentioned, that way I still got another one. =P

2) to gain immortality (metaphoric) through something I've done- yeah, like writers. To be a poet, something like that.
3) i want everyone in the world to have the possibilty to have such 'problems' as I do... the sort of problems you have when your mind has the possibility to THINK... not when you're busy in the struggle to survive.

Wow I didn't even say 'love' (or better 'a man' :D) despite the phase I'm in! ;)

Oh damn!!! I forgot that I also want to speak all the languages in the world, and a good number of them fluently!!! :rolleyes: Guess I'll have to leave this out again...*sighs* ;)

Oh yeah! I thought of my third wish! I wish that an alien race would take over earth and enslave us all, only be nice to us and mabye keep us as house pets and have little baskets with plaid cussions for us to sleep in with are name on it, cause I've always wanted a basket-bed with my name on it. Oh yeah and of course this alien race would come equiped with 36DDs.

Ah, three wishes, there are so many possible variables. What if a wish you make backfires? I should like to wish for world peace, but what would truly happen? I don't think world peace is possible, because wishing for this is asking to change something that is part of human essence. Come to think of it, killing is part of all creatures on earth. Perhaps we would become an entire new species to achieve this wish. A cure for all diseases? That would overpopulate the world. Okay so what would I wish for then? hm

1. For my child to have a full, productive happy, healthy life, who perhaps does something someday to contribute to the good of the world.
2. To win the lottery.
3. Like psyco, I think I would save this wish in case my wishes backfire, then I would wish I had never had three wishes. But then do you think it is possible to save a wish because how often do we inadvertently wish for something?

lol! My grandpa use to tell my sister that if she ate the crust of her bread it would help her to learn to whistle. She was so mad when she got older and figured out that it was just his way of getting her to eat the crust of the bread!:p :D She still can't whistle!

First I would wish for wisdom, then I would decide later on my other two.:)

LOL :D That's the wonderful thing about words, isn't it? Milk is entirely unrelated to laughter, yet there was no ambiguity about the intent of the comment. That's one of the main problems so commonly overlooked when translating ancient works; such subtle references, which needed no explanation in their time, are translated literally and new meaning is transferred upon them (who knows how often with tragic or harmful results?).

I know, I ruined the humor of it all, but that's what I do. I overanalyze. So sue me.
