Hi,
I was just wondering...if you were to choose 5 women that affected literature in the greatest extent, who would these 5 women be?

Hi,
I was just wondering...if you were to choose 5 women that affected literature in the greatest extent, who would these 5 women be?
Helen of Troy -- for initiating the war that inspired the two Homeric epics
J -- the female author of the Old Testament, as some scholars would have us believe
Beatrice -- for inspiring "The Divine Comedy"
Queen Elizabeth I -- for her patronage of the theatre
Virginia Woolf -- for her iconic status up to this very day
Characters or writers?
Both ....
Toss Sappho in there too.
Mrs. Dalloway

Mary W. Shelley, Mary Wollstonecraft (her mother), Virginia Woolf, Grace Nichols , Angela Carter and Jane Austen. I can't put only 5 :)
