Hi,
I was just wondering...if you were to choose 5 women that affected literature in the greatest extent, who would these 5 women be?

Hi,
I was just wondering...if you were to choose 5 women that affected literature in the greatest extent, who would these 5 women be?

Helen of Troy -- for initiating the war that inspired the two Homeric epics
J -- the female author of the Old Testament, as some scholars would have us believe
Beatrice -- for inspiring "The Divine Comedy"
Queen Elizabeth I -- for her patronage of the theatre
Virginia Woolf -- for her iconic status up to this very day
