I think you are from Pakistan, if not Middle-East. Because we have this pretty name "Bismah" quite common over here. It is not "Basemah" but one can spell "Bismah" as "Basemah". :D

My guess will be either from India or Bangladesh. This is because you said you like reading Tagore, and he was an Indian from Bengal. And, most of the Bangladeshis also speak Bengali which was his native language. I am sure they will be familiar with works of Rabindranath Tagore. So, either you are from West Bengal, India or Bangladesh :), but my guess is solely based on your reading choice. :)

of course...now where to begin..

Most famous of Ancient Indian Literature can be said to be Mahabharata and Ramayana.Mahabharata is said to be the longets poem in the world..The title means The Great Battle of Bharat..It has numerous small stories and lots of advice regarding life.Ramayana is the life story of a King Rama whose wife Sita is kidnapped by the villan Ravana...this is the main plotline anyway.

As you know there are 28 Indian states and over these there are almost 22 languages.Most of these languages have their own literature.Works of some authors have been translated whereas some others have not been done.I don't have much idea about Hindi literature....

But I know Malayalam ones well since I have to study them for school.There are a lot of Mahakavyams(Great poems)..Malayalam literature also has a great collection of novels..and S.K.Pottekad's Travelouges are simply wonderful...

Anyway I can tell you more about Malayalam literature but you'll be bored by the end of it...Even I am bored..I proably won't be taking Malayalam next year so out I go..I have to study Malayalam only till this thursday.

Ofcourse there are English works by Indian Authors..They include Arundhati Roy, Rabindranath Tagore, Jawaharlal Nehru, Ruskin Bond, R.K.Narayanan..(I love his works).There are a lot of others but thats all I can remember.

We don't have levels...we have standards...I am 15 so 10th Standard...(Last year of high school) Next year 11th then 12th...(its also called +1 and +2)Then College..
