Women's roles

i'm currently working on my literature based research paper, and I was hoping i would write about how negatively the women in The Great Gatsby were perceived... but I realize that this is not enough to write an 8 page paper... any ideas on what else I should include/ or talk bout ??? maybe something concerning society in the 1920s??

Woman in The Great Gatsby - just a thought: You can put in where Daisy tells Nick that when she found out she had a daughter, she wished for the daughter to be a "beautiful fool," because that was the best thing a woman can be. (page 21)
