They are outside copyright, but Arkham Press, the publisher of the only current Lovecraft anthologies, says they're not. There have been two omnibus websites that had Lovecraft's works catalogued and digitized. One was Temple of Dagon, which had to take them down after Arkham Press told them to stop. The other disappeared but may be out there yet under another name.

I question the worthiness of Lovecraft to be in company with the likes of Poe and Joyce and Wells. I mean, he had some cool ideas, but his writing wasn't the most exciting or well constructed. But he did have some wonderful stories, so I suppose he deserves a slot.

Well, i know they are not out of Copywrite due to a letter i recived from Arkham press... *angst*
