How about an interest story that could be used in the school archives that revolves around some school art/mascot/logo or somesuch?

I did that when I was HS for a video project clas...and it got included in the archives. :thumbs_up

I was on the school newspaper in high school. We covered school theft, seminars given at the school, features on athletes and people who got prestigious scholarships or awards (interviewing athletes is a bit of a pain), we also had columns making fun of school life. The columns were the best.

This thread brings back the memory when I ran an indie bulletin back in college. First I was the coordinator for special issues featuring general topics or thematic issues (e.g. Feb = Valentine). Then I moved to the hot column, which covered a more serious and on the spot issues like student senate election.

For your papers, how about in one edition, you review some of the stuffs that the paper have featured since it was first published. Which article that the students think as the best, which one is the worst, whether what the paper wrote were actually mattter to all fellow students, stuffs like that.
