To Have and Have Not

I've read and also watched the movie To Have and Have Not. I know they are completely different, except for maybe the scene when Harry hits Eddy. On the back cover of my book it says, "To Have and Have Not is the dramatic story of Harry Morgan . . . . and dissipated yachtsmen who throng the region, and involve him in a strange and unlikely love affair". Having read the book, there is no love affair involving Harry Morgan in the novel?:confused:

That's not so strange, it's probably a Hollywood movie so what kind of movie is that without happy end...The Horse Whisperer, Hannibal are some that crosses my mind in the moment and were also changed for it's movie adaptations.
