I tried to report a spam post and received an error message telling me I did not have permission to access the page. The report post icon is part of every post on the site, is it not? I am confused whether or not this feature works.
I would not have typically bothered to report knowing what good mods we have here, but there is some spam that has been sitting for quite a while and I thought it got overlooked by accident. Sorry if I did something wrong.

Thanks for trying, not sure what happened but it might have been that it was removed from the main forums just before/while you were trying to report it, I've just removed a few spam posts :)

I would not have typically bothered to report knowing what good mods we have here, but there is some spam that has been sitting for quite a while and I thought it got overlooked by accident. Do bother... While I agree that the moderators are doing a wizard job, they can't be around 24/7, nor could they be expected to spot everything even if they were: They need a heads up now and then.
Note: It is essential to remove spam asap. If that fails it will have the same effect as graffiti on a wall: It will attract more of the same kind. Spammers know a free lunch when they see it...

Ok, thanks for clearing that up. I will be ever vigilant in keeping my eye out for spammy-licious content. :D I find I am constantly toeing a line in my head between trying to be helpful and being a nuisance. (completely my silly quirk)

Added later: I just noted the PM spam (http://www.online-literature.com/forums/showthread.php?t=22287) thread...
