View Full Version : An Idea struck my mind

While sitting tiredly at the office, an idea struck my mind.
How about making an online "Online-Literature Year Book thread", where members can post their pictures and give some info about themselves such as their (real) name. So it's really like a year book that you have in your school/college..
Comments anyone....?! Please post your vote
While you're thinking whether you agree with me or not, I'll sing you something (just a litle bit) from The Who..
Let see action,
Let see people,
Let see freedom,
Let see who cares..
Cheers everyone
Beth

People know too much about me as it is. :)
I usually agree about that kind of ideas but this time I'm not sure... Maybe because I decided I should stop showing too many personal stuff online, and because, despite all the good people here, I wouldnt feel comfortable in showing my pic for example, cos sometimes not very nice people seem to pass by...

I'd vote yes, coz I AM giving my real name and info ANYWAY! But as Koa said, pics are a no-no!
Eheh my pics travelled too much around the web (lol NO please don't misunderstand!!!!!!!!!), I should be more mysterious... ;) I'm always curious to see the faces of the people I talk to online so I don't usually refuse when asked privately, of course if it's someone I've been knowing for some time.
Isn't it awful when you're chatting or stuff, and the first thing you're asked is a pic? (or if you're male or female)... I find it so annoying!

Sindhu,
I bet you're just too modest!!
I think it would be good for people to just describe themselves a little and where they live, what they think are the good points or the bad points about their town/village/city. I don't see why names should be important. It's the picture that counts.

No poking, love.
I think it could be fun. We could have our avatars for pictures, and just write what we want. For our yearbook we collected the worst freudian slips. Mine was :
"But I´m a man. Oh no, I meant woman."

The best kind? :-)
It´s probably the same. I´ve only read this quote and it kind of stuck. I think Fromm said something like it in the book "The sane society".

It's a good book though. I read the comic version :). I think it's a good thing that they made the comic version coz it is easier to understand. I mean it's not easy to understand his teachings

I would go for the avatar yearbook deal, I am kinda nervouse about the picture deal, there are some people I would rather not run into, but I would give My real name.
