A drop falls slowly
More drops follow, making a
Sweet, shimmering song.

The warm sun looked down
Beaming on the cheery earth
Warming the calm earth

When I first wrote this, it was a song. I left out the refrain when I rewrote it as a poem. its about losing a friend...

I guess its been many years
it feels not long ago
we promised to be best friends
in the suns gentle glow

we were little then
the world was our friend
we thought we'd be friends to the end
i guess we didn't know

not long later we said goodbye
we said we'd keep in touch
i didn't hear from her alot
but i missed her so much

if only it had stopped right there
the hurt might have started to dull
but we moved and who did i meet
but her.
Believe i didn't dare

I thought I'd have my friend back,
but she stabbed me in the heart
do I look happy to you
cause inside im broken apart

but I see her face every day
and somewhere in my heart
i'll cherish those sunkissed days
nomatter what. Forever

the calm in stormy waters
untouched by joys and fears of them
what am i missing

Me too, even I dont know why we keep secrets. Maybe, we think that when everything will be alright, we dont need to keep it a secret anymore, we are just holding on until all is okay, but it sometimes never gets alright and it forever remains a secret. I think the 'getting alright' is what we miss. :)

Yeah, madhuri, it is interesting that we keep secrets, I do it all the time, but it doesn't help.
