It actually got down to freezing here and we had to cover up our little orange trees. I love the feeling of it being very cold outside and being cozy and snuggly inside! I wish it happened more often round here! The ultimate cozy would be to have a wood burning fire. *sigh*:)

That's very interesting that it's that cold in Florida. Here in Germany, we've had the warmest winter since the beginning of weather records and I'm loving it :D. Seeing that you don't seem to mind the cold either, climate change seems to be a blessing for everyone, doesn't it ? :p .

Yeah the only problem is that lots of fruits like, oranges and some melons have jacked up in price, things are double priced what they normally are in some cases over here. Glad you're enjoying the cold though, I'll gladly take the nice warm winter (warmest I've ever witnessed), although we're still below freezing :p .

It sort of loses that romantic feel to it after awhile though. I always enjoy it the first few really cold nights but it gets old somewhere in the 3rd month of freezing and below freezing temps. :p

We've had such mild winters the last several years but this year we're having a real winter and we're all whining. It had a late start but once it came, it stayed.

Just around freezing is not bad. But we've had a winter blast here and we get down quite a bit below.

But I can't complain. Until now it has been a warm winter, and I've been grateful.

We might actually get our first snow of the winter here in the valley early this morning

what's up with this whole "mild winter" thing? Could it be global warming? (not trying to start a political discussion btw). We haven't had a snow here in several years.

I am so excited about the snow even though once you enter the work world snow becomes more of a pain in the arse than anything else. I'm still expected at work tomorrow even though I live on a hill and drive a rear-wheel vehicle that handles poorly in any inclement weather. The good news is that school is canceled (already at 10 PM and it isn't even snowing yet) so I don't have to worry about skidding into a group of kids at the bus stop -- provided it even snows and or sticks here. We never get snow.

It actually dropped below 0 F here a couple times this year and it's consistently well below freezing. It's AWFUL! It was great and then it got really really old and now I just want to run away to the Amazon!

I want a fireplace! I almost ran out of oil over the weekend so my house was freezing! I was cozy though...under the 5 blankets on my bed and 2 cats laying on me.
