Thats my problem too. The only Lem book that I could get without ordering is Osirus or whatever it was called. The one that was addapted to film with Cloony

Solaris?
They are harder to find, but most libraries stock them.
If anyone is looking for a WWII book, The Hospital of Transfiguration is a good one, Its by Lem, not really a sci fi but one of his erlier books.

You can find Heart of Darkness on this site :-).
You can also buy books from Amazon, they even send books to Sweden. Good for me.

Sorry Faye- but i voted for HOD and I'm glad it seems to be moving ahead:) I think it's a wonderfully constructed book, with deplorable attitudes and assumptions and I Really want to take it on!;)

OK, what I'm confused about is that there's 27 votes, but there definately havn't been 27 people involved in the club in the past months. I think it should be more like 15 votes. And even that is liberal. I really hope I actually see 27 people involved, but I'm skeptical.

Um- I tried counting the people who left messages with their votes, Kikand it's about 13. Ok, other people might have voted without leaving messages, but still----

There's 27 votes (hence 27 different users), but fewer people, if you catch my drift.

I'd like to participate if I can get hold of the book. What exactly do you do? General disscussion?
Sindhu

Yes, Sub it is the Conrad book.
:)
Cassandra, the book is available on this site if you can't get it otherwise- and yes, general discussion is pretty much the idea:)

however, its probably less expensive in the long run to just buy a paperback than it is to use all that ink and paper printing. Check used book stores and charity shops like Oxfam.
