i have returned home to you, my fair friends. YAY!!!
i first enscribed something upon these hallowed er, browser windows :D back in 2003. i'm from england and the west and east coasts of the u.s.a. as stated somewhere else - oh, the poetry page, duh, silly me - i dabble in sanity. though i'm not sure?? that's healthy. ;)
i like to bake, eat, grow flowers, veggies, learn new things, dance, walk, and read what i wanna read though since i'm in nursing school harsh discipline reigns over me, lol. will probably do something in peds - i adore children. volunteer every week with a group of little ones who make my life.
i've been writing poems since i was six but haven't been exposed to enough poetry over the years - learned this from among others, mono, koa and blp (thanks, guys!).
i've been gone for a year, give or take a few months, due to a family member's death. sometimes lately poems bursts out of me that are fairly decent, and other times they look like those poor orcs that saruman created in the movie version of lotr. have only just started writing again very recently.
i love folk and faerie tales, classic novels, and eclectic reads. if i had only two days left to live i'd probably spend it finishing les mis. in elementary and junior high i read a lot of classics; in high school everything from fear of flying to harlequin romances to james baldwin. read a lot of thicker - though all weren't necessarily better - books in my early twenties, and a whole bunch of new-age stuff. in my latter years i realized i'd better start resume reading the classics, and nearly panicked - it seemed if i didn't hurry, i'd be dead 'fore i finished, lol! :D
i went back to school at 31, love it and never want to leave. i hope i die in a classroom! :D :D :D
it will be nice to meet all of you whom i haven't yet! and hello to everybody that i haven't seen in forevers. :) :) :)
