Well hello, everyone.
There was a nice message at the top of my page insisting that I introduce myself. I'm feeling submissive to such instruction, and so here's my thread.

Hope everyone's had a good weekend, and that no one is currently reading Turn of the Screw by Henry James. I'm now but a mere thirty five pages from the end, but I've still somehow managed to put it down. Again!
Trying to rush it, though, as I have a few others lined up to read after it.

It is always a good choice to heed nice messages at the top of the page and it certainly seems that you are "enjoying" Turn of the Screw. :p

Ha, yes indeed to both of your points - and thank you very much for the welcome.

After Turn of the Screw I have to read Austen, which I'm not too thrilled about but I suppose we all have to do things we wouldn't usually do. Argh.

Indeed we do, but I rather like Austen. At least some of what she wrote. :nod:
