God's offering a replacement wife to Adam
This story is a welcome switch on the old Lilith story. Kinda turns it completely around. Of course the story has Adam declining the offer which is the foundation of the redeeming love and charity God finds in Adam.
But I am looking for the story's origin. I was wondering if anyone recalls language in Paradise Lost that suggests God made such an offer.
I am thinking perhaps book 10. However I may be wrong.
