Hello to forum members,
I'm new here. This looks like an interesting place for a chat so I'll hang out for awhile and see if I like it here.
I don't have favourites but, some books I've enjoyed include, Atonement by Ian McKeown, Memoirs of a Geisha by Arthur Golden, Where the Heart is by Billy Letts. I enjoy reading different genres including sci/fi, fantasy.
I noticed somewhere, while I was browsing that someone had the opinion that The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde was boring. There was a time when this type of literature would have had me yawning profusely, nevermind understand it. I found Oscar Wilde to be a passionate and brilliant author. Most interesting was the way he studies society and the distinct difference between rich and poor, not much unlike our society today. I have to wonder if he is mocking the very society I believe he grew up in.
