we rush all the time to get to our next day off. for most people it is a five day work week, so basically your rushing through five of your days to enjoy only two days. what a waste of life. in the game of life, the finish line is death. so why not enjoy the race.

Indeed.

I think Arthur Miller says in Death of a Salesman something about working 50 weeks a year for two weeks holiday.

Progress and the Protestant work ethic have a lot to answer for!

You have dragged Christian-bashing to every single one of your posts. Just an observation.

Anyways, I actually like the week better. I end up not doing anything on the weekends, so I get depressed. During the week I stay busy, but unless you have some money, the weekends kind of blow.

Sometimes I don't like weekends. Specially when the only thing interesting to watch is American Idol (now you can see how pathetic my life can be).

I never felt that I rushed my days, but I always feel that the days are the one who always trying to rush me! I don't really have something to be really rush for actually!

If you don't run, you won't win.

That's the philosophy about it, even if there's no prize.

apparently, they think they can 'win' life... but in order to do so, you have to hurry, or run.

Sometimes it's nice to rush...it makes me feel alive. When I have nothing to do for too long I start feeling useless/depressed. Though at the present moment I'd like to slow down a bit...

Oh c'mon IWilKiku, that's a very poor observation. Its far from true that my posts have been based on Christian-bashing. I just lay into poor theories that's all, whether they are beliefs, philosophies or other viewpoints. Secondly, "every single one of your posts", you obviously need to be a little less selective.

The thing is Faye I always think that the 'winning' thing is always based on other people's/society's standard. I'lll never win if I was judged by other people's standard.

that is not true subterranean, you may win if those "other people" judge you in their favour. your thinking reminds me of immanuel kant. please take that as a compliment. althought i find some peoples answers to questions, quotes out of books, for the most part everybody seems to be indepndent thinkers, and i love independent thinkers. i feel it is importained to learn from those before us, but i also feel it is just as importain to think for ourselves, that way we show our independence.

I get your point jones. Indeed I can always ignore other people's and determine my own winning qualifications and finish line. The thing is who am I kidding? Im a winner by my own standard...
