Here are select poems I wish to submit for future publication in magazines/newspapers maybe even a short book. Perceptions and constructive opinion will be held in the highest respect. Thanks.:

A Whim in the Sky
it is wide and blue on all four corners
as far as the eye can see
it shifts its complection like a dew drop in a puddle
it mystifies with whitened spots
some curled, some intertwined, some clustered dots
it pours upon us little drops,
ants we are, scuttle from this harmless barrage
drops which have the power to cleanse our pains
and ensure brighter days
are invited by the dirt and crevices of the lane
which meanders to the edges of sidewalks with perforated drains.

The Blame
He went down the narrow vestibule
poorly lighted, poorly kept, at the end of which was an iron cell
black, dingy, epitome of contracted death
acrophobic? watch out for the eight legged's spindled creations
they strewn webs along all unperceived corners
and he who leads the new inhibitor of this hell
is a man who just recently
lay by a woman
who wasn't his wife.
where is this man's cell?
I am no better judge than the next person, but I can logically surmise.
it has not been improvised by mortal hand
it is a crime so great and universally bound that mortal justice is incapable.
a world with more prisons than homes could not accommodate them,
a vast realm is intended for this folk,
and it isn't in the sky.

Which God?
200 years ago they worked arduously
tilled the soil, harvested the grain, obsequiously lived
some believed, some didn't
some in their masters, some in Him
believers in their masters felt pain, believers in Him felt relief
some thought a better world lay ahead, some new it did
200 years later the strive for a better world is in their veins
never mind drug corruption, sex and violence, as long as He is there
they had hope
they could commit adultery, crime and proliferate corruption
just point the finger in a different direction
lies? say sorry to Him. He'll forgive you
200 years ago the ones who didn’t believe in their masters believed in a real God
what is this made up entity they believe in now?

Well you know.. a prospective print publisher might not like the fact that you're offering your work that they might potentially buy posted on a public discussion board.

Well I've written about 210 poems already... these are only 3. I don't think a "prospective" publisher would mind.

I'm afraid Logos is right, Adolescent. But take heart--these are very good poems, and I'm sure you have it in you to produce many more fine works. I especially like the third one. Have you read anything by Robert Wrigley? Not that you seem to emulate him necessarily, you have a certain flavor in common, but I think you might enjoy his poetry--of course, I think everyone might enjoy his poetry. Anyway, keep doing this--it's very good! :)

Yes Logos is right. I wasn't claiming she was stating an untruth, I was just saying that these three I posted aren't the only ones I aspire to have published. And thank-you Jean

Oh, I didn't mean to reassert Logos' suggestion, as though you had disputed it; it was merely a timing thing: We were both busy posting at the same time, and you beat me to it, so I hadn't seen your post before I submitted my reply. Sorry if it came off as somewhat snotty; I didn't mean that at all. I am glad to hear how prolific you've been. If your other pieces are anything like these I can easily envision success. :)

I don't see how a "prospective" publisher would even find out he had posted it here, unless there is a secret federation of publishers secretly controlling LitNet...?

I smell a controversy! Or is that my bagel...

Oh well. Your poems are amazing Adolescent, keep at it ^_^
