1. What is sadness? What makes you feel sad? Why did you feel sad?:(
2. What is happiness? What makes you feel happy? Why did you feel happy?:D
3. What is humor? What makes you laugh? Why did you laugh?
4. What is irrational? What drives you insane, crazy, turns you into a psycophatic maniac, and makes you completely irrational? Why did you feel...Umm...All of the above?:flare:
Choose one and answer. Since I started the thread it would be appropriate that I provide the first answer.
I choose #4: What is irrational? I don't know...My answer to this question that I just gave myself?
What drives me insane are spiders with a really huge butt sneaking up on me from behind. Ugh!!! The huge booty, those eight legs, and the way they move...Ugh!!! http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q197/KaosRampage/Misc_Gifs/dspider.gifIt gives me the hibies-jibies!!! I'll be screaming like a little school girl...
...By the way, it takes a real man to admit that...Really.
Why? Why? Dude, look at that spider!! It's so freaky, man!! Imagine a huge spider climbing up your leg while your half-asleep...You feel something...Icky...It somehow manages to reach your face...Say right between the eyes...
...Ahhhhh!!!!! C'mon! That's just messed up, man!
I would immediately get up and start to slap my own face and thrashing the whole room in the process of trying to clear my body and face from the creature!!! I would be in a totally beserk mode, man! Ugh!!

Since I'm here...I'll choose another one.
I choose #3. What is humor? What makes you laugh? Why did you laugh?
Humor...Humor...Hmm...I think humor is something that tickles your funny bone.:D
What makes me laugh? A lot of things actually...In fact, I think everything. Maybe it's because I lived a shelter life...I don't know.
Anyway, an example: When something is exaggerated beyond its normal state. Take, for example, a butt. On its own, it's funny. :yawnb: But enlarge it to an unbelievably enormous size, it becomes hilarious. To take its affect further, make a joke about it. Like, say "Imagine a butt is so big, that when you slap it, it jiggle for hours"
Stuff like that can make some folks laugh their butt off.
Why did I laugh?
I think it takes an imagination to laugh at humor like the one I've mention. You have to imagine of that huge butt. If you're to caught up in reality, you won't laugh at stuff like that.

1. What is sadness? What makes you feel sad? Why did you feel sad? - Lack of happiness
I don't chase any anyknowing or all powerful God nor do I sit in the shadow of a peer group worried about dating pressure or school work.
I can imagen sadness for those who's life has been tainted by the rampant mass consumerism (and those defiled by it) to be something along the lines of ... getting 'dumped' or having no money to go out or being too fat or too thin or work ever could make a 'person' sad.. but these things are purly cosmetic to the mind and soul... real sadness is when no other thing could affect your state of mind a weight at the bottom of you heart almost as if a palm of ice is jenlty coaxing it down.
I fear that maybe i am alone in these felling now because the 'educated' now seams to be insnared by the lie that they used to control the masses (fashion, religion, sex, tax, war ( in the sense of any dispute over anything 'fake') --- Huge butts and spiders included
What makes me sad? - seeing so many with so much potential be used as fodder for the fascist self serving goverments.
also when lost season 1 ended that made me sad :(
 Nice.
Just be careful with the language now.:p
Sad when season 1 of "Lost" ended? Hmm...For me, I was sad/angry when season 1 of "Prison Break" ended.:( :flare:
Hello phjeer, welcome on board.
( didn't read the forum rules)
Might be a good idea reading the rules (http://www.online-literature.com/forums/announcement.php?f=9) and I think you might find this post (http://www.online-literature.com/forums/showpost.php?p=20252&postcount=1) useful as well.

Number 1. What makes me feel sad.
When people disrespect books simply because they feel it is associated with geeks.
I feel sad not only because I am a book-loving geek but because honestly, reading is a lovely, friendly, genteel, polite activity. Ack, you probably knew that I would say that.

The lovely number 4.
What is irrational?
Irrational is commanding the attention of a class of impressionable teenagers by saying "my goal is not to teach you to think like me- it is to teach you to think freely", and then go about telling them that the world is black and white, right and wrong, good and evil; telling them that their opinion is wrong because it is not in agreement with the textbook; telling them that no matter how much research they've done, they are wrong because he says so; telling a person that their visual respresntaion of an assignment was a waste of time, because he personally doesn't find visuals useful; telling them that the only way to learn is by copying the book in front of them word for word. In a religion class.
Think freely indeed.
That is irrational. And it drives me insane to be told that I am wrong on a matter of opinion; To be told that there is no room for insight or interpretation. Yes, it turns me into a "phschopathic maniac" and makes me want to hit him over the head with his bloody textbook. It's like being put into an enclosed room and have someone tell you that that room is all there is, when you know it's not ture. You've seen what's outside that room and they're telling you that you are wrong. Why do I feel "all of the above"? What thinking, feeling, acting, being person would not?

3. What is humor? What makes you laugh? Why did you laugh?
"Jokes, like dreams, satisfy our unconscious desires." - Sigmund Freud "The joke and it's relation to the unconscious."
It took Freud a couple of hundred pages to explain. You should ask why we dream.
