Explaining the plot of the entire novel is a bit much for a short reply, but I've found this page has a good summary (obviously it will give away the story).

I'd say the both have similar settings and minor subplots that are similar, but the major events and main characters are very different.

It could hardly be the same as Pride and Predjustice - you need look no farther than the titles to see this! Even if the Elizabeth character is basically an underdeveloped Elinor.
I couldn't say that there's even a plot persay for this book. The word "plot" suggests an action or adventure story. Jane Austen's novel fall into the genre of Soap Opera, albeit intellegent ones. :)
I really suggest you read the book.

One could peruse the plot summary on this very site:
http://www.bookrags.com/studyguide-sensesensibility/sum.html
Or one could read the actual book, which is far more pleasurable & offers a greater time frame within which to eat chocolates.
harrumph!

It's pretty complex. It really doesn't have much of Pride and Prejudice in it.
