this question was asked to me by my college cousin... I made a sappy paragraph which I hope will give him perfect marks... So I ask upon thee, member of Lit.net...
Why is literature life itself?

I always saw it as more of a reflection....but i guess in a way this also makes it life by reflecting it? There is a lot to this question, I am suprised you could fit an answer into one paragraph!

I kind of like how you labelled Literature as life actually. I do believe all forms of art, including literature, play an important role in life. Art is the product of human struggle between instinct and rationality. Literature not only illuminates the world and our lives, but sometimes complicates our udnerstanding of them. We are born into a limited, specific context in which we can only use our own experience as a way to view our lives, with literature we vicariously experience inifinite contexts using our life as the base comparison to create meaning for ourselves. In that way we adopt new ideas and ways of judging the world by embellishing our context with other's experiences and thoughts. Literature becomes a part of our life, so in that way it is life.
