recommendations for modern but historical setting for war time romance novels

I am trying to find any books that have the running theme of a romance in the middle of a war. I am particularly interested in the Russian battles and such. I've read most of the classic and I would like a modernish book with a historical setting. Any recommendations

Wow, someone posted a thread the other day exactly like this, it had several great ideas, but I can't think of the modern books on Russian love soldiers.
