Just wanna say im a new member of this forum! im 16 and am currently doing GCSEs... i live in singapore but go to boarding school in england, specifically west sussex... anyway...

back to the point, i have to do an essay correlating the phoniness that holden caufield experiences to the book, catcher, in some way.

if u have any ideas or better yet, information, on the title of my essay on how i could possibly start and write this essay please help!

Welcome! As to your Catcher in the Rye essay, do you understand what the assignment is about? After reading the book you must have some ideas of your own as to the topic of the essay? From what i recall when i read the book myself, Holden had pointed out many examples and thoughts about "phoniness". Why don't you go back, find some, and tell us YOUR thoughts and ideas of how to start it?
