We may have already covered this, but what are the pros and cons of both services? I was reading the terms, both say that once I pay for the tracks I can burn them upto seven times....What does that mean? If I paid for it why can't I burn them as many times as I want.
All this reading just makes me want to go out and just buy CD's!!!

Oh, I found iTunes so much easier to use, of course that's probably because I have an iPod and Napster isn't compatable with iPods...I found that out the hard way. I had nothing but headaches with Napster and the billing system is wierd, you pay 10$ a month but that's just to use the service, you still have to pay for the individual songs. The one thing I did like about Napster, however, is that you can download the song just to listen to it without having to buy it so you can see if you like it before paying money. With iTunes you get a 30 second preview of the song but that's not alway enough...however, I still prefer iTunes. Another thing in iTunes' favour, with Napster, the songs disappear after awhile, a week or something like that, you simply can't play the files anymore. I guess they assume you'll burn the songs and then upload them from that but I found that incredibly annoying, with iTunes, they stay useable forever I suppose whether they are burned or not.

hmmm.. interesting.
So I think I've decided to go with the iriver Clix. I realize this has nothing to do with the actual intention of the thread, but i've been considering a new MP3 and I wanted to know which service would be best for which MP3.
iriver rocks :D, great sound *pets her mp3 player* :p

...itunes is goign on...its a horrible glitch...but, if you can, I would recommend downloading windows media player (if your mp3 player can support wma)
or downloading the opensource program: Audacity, it does a better job and allows you to convert the file to different formats.

I spent all that time saving up for an Ipod! Gah! It will take me at least 3 years to get me one of those beauties......

iTunes is very tempermental when it comes to burning. I can successfully burn most of the time but every now and then, for no reason, a burn will fail. iTunes don't support wma so I'm just stuck. I went to iTunes help and they directed me to some site that had drivers and I downloaded the one they told me to and while it has helped, I do still have the occasional failure.
