L.M.A. was always writing about "the song that never will grow old", for example in Rose in Bloom, when Phebe sang for the Orphans Concert, quote : "and sang the song that never will grow old."
Does someone know what song is she talking about ???
thanks and greetings from Germany

My first guess would be "Home Sweet Home"

[Edit - I was right. The next paragraph "That went straight to the hearts of those who heard her, for there
was something inexpressibly touching in the sight of this sweet-voiced woman singing of home for the little creatures who were homeless,"]
