Now that it is officially 2007, I was wondering what kind of calendars every one has. I bought 3 this year, a fractal one for work because those little guys just love the bright colors, a Chagall one for the kitchen/dining room and one called 'The Reading Woman' for my bedroom. The 'Reading Woman' is a collection of paintings by various artists of women reading and I thought it would be perfect for the room where I do most of my reading.
So, which calendars did you buy for the year?

Every year I have every intention of going to B & N's and buying a beautiful calendar. And every year I use my little calendar at the bottom of my computer screen or my MS Works one. I love the sound of 'The Reading Woman' :thumbs_up

I was really pleased to find it. I had my eye on one that had these incredibly beautiful and colorful Celtic symbols but when I went to the store to buy it, it was gone and I was so depressed about that and just wandering through the store trying to find something that inspired me as much as that Celtic one and failing miserably...until I found the 'Reading Woman'. I got it at Barnes & Noble, by the way, so I suggest you check it out. ;)

well, as you know I tend to follow your suggestions, so off I go! :p What I'd really like is a calendar of watercolored N. Dakota hills like the ones at your lake! Seen any like that?

Watercolor? No, I don't think I have. I can find you a North Dakota calendar but I can't guarantee those hills would be in it. You'll just have to come for a visit sometimes and see them for yourself. ;)

I went to my cousins' place yesterday and they had made one by themselves. It looked really nice. I am thinking of making one by myself as well. :)

That's exactly it! Now you don't have to feel bad about not living in the States.;)
Nooo lol my dad is obsessed about a certain calendar LOL
I hardly ever buy calendars because they are often disgustingly expensive, while you can get some for free in many places like banks or shops you are a customer of. Or from workplaces, like firms etc. Of course they look awful but some are good as in the numbers are clear and there's space to write something. The one my dad is obsessed about and wants so badly has a space to write that is perfect to him, to write his work shifts.
I bought myself a nice diary, it's purple and I love it  Which gave me the idea to buy a few more to give my close friends as Xmas presents :)

Yes, but if you wait until the first of the year, you can often get them half off or more, then they aren't so bad.

I have a Star Wars Calendar in my cubicle at work. The Avon lady gave me a calendar with flowers on it, and my mom gave me a wildlife calendar with bears and wolves and tigers on it.
Last year I had a hobbit calendar with Tolkien drawings which I am holding on to because I like his drawings.

Gosh, I really need a calendar, but I can't seem to find one that I comepletely adore...I want one with pretty impressionist paintings in it...like paintings by Renoir or Van Gogh...

I had that one as well! And I had the one of his LOTR drawings the year before. Like you, I've kept them but I have no idea what I'm going to do with them, I just like the pictures. Although...when I think about it...I already have a book with all his drawings so I guess it's kind of silly but the calendar ones are much bigger. :D

I only use the calendar of my mobile phone. I don't use normal calendars, because I often forget to read what I've written to them...

I buy a Dog and a Cat calender for the Mrs. I also purchase the annual Garfield wall calendar for myself but this item is stored with the others which started in 1980--I'm a collector. If I'm lucky and can find a Felix the Cat calener that goes in a keeper box also.

I wish I had a fractal calendar! I could stare at those things all day long. I haven't gotten around to buying a calendar yet this year. In fact, I rarely get around to doing so. I think I've purchased about three calendars in my lifetime. I'm not sure why; I spend much of my time wishing I had a calendar. I did buy a notebook type academic year calendar, which should come in handy, but I never seem to get around to opening it, much less writing anything down in it. I'm going to go shopping for a photo calendar depicting an assortment of Bourbon. Doesn't that sound delicious?

I'm contemplating getting the Mathematics calender, it has a problem each day. I generally don't get to do the puzzle each day so it may be a waste.
