What if you were told that all of the books would disappear from this world in few seconds ,
How would you feel?
Perhaps when you heard this , you would run to pick up one of the books ( only one) ,which you can't imagine your life without it .
My question is What would that book be? Why would you choose it?

Umm, I would be very sad. Could we still write books? That way we could start from scratch? That would still bite, but it would be better than nothing. And the book I would want is my Bible. Because it means a lot to me, and I would be sad if I couldn't read it, since I don't have very many verses memorized (like two). Other books are definitely cool, but seeing as that's the basis of my faith, it'd be nice to have around.
:bawling:
I believe there is only one answer to this question......we would all go insane.
But if I could, I would definitely choose Oscar Wilde's Happy Prince and other short stories.

The Complete Works of Shakespeare book i have most def.
I would...i would lose the urge to live. Without books, there is no point to writing. If i could neither write essays and poetry or read books what is the point??

I would feel really bad if it is novels that disappear. If it is school books, then of course, it is fine. :p
Anyway, the novel I would pick would be Lord of the Rings probably. I haven't read the whole of it, once started it but then my exams interrupted in between. I really want to read this work but the book's length really scares me off...

I wouldn't worry. If books disappeared, they would reappear very soon.

If books were to disappear I'd get lots more stuff done for college, I wouldn't bore my friends so much, and I'd also be a lot richer! Having said that, I'd also be very upset and have no idea what to do with my spare time.
I'm not sure what book I'd take. I think I'd be stuck between 1984, Dorian Gray and Catch 22. Or I might go for some lengthy classic that I've yet to read and hope that I like it a lot.

I would be so bored and sad...one less thing for me to obsses over...obsessing over things is a big part of my life, you know! This probably sounds really stupid and cliche, but I'd save my favorite book listed in my profile...A Tale of Two Cities. I'd keep it locked up though, since it would be the last book on Earth.

I would forget about the madness, adjust, and start reading people.

Well, in my case, I would probably go a little nuts. But for me it is a given which I would take: The Bible. Of course there are plenty I would want to keep, but I would save that one.

The horror, the horror...
Umm, can I cheat and grab my Norton Anthology of English Literature? More than 6000 pages all told. That would keep me entertained for a while. Or I suppose I could just save a Finnegans Wake and spend the rest of my life trying to untangle it.
