Im a classics fan too! Love poetry, imagery is great. Big into plays too, especially Shakespeare. I just read and commented on a text of yours and it was very good :thumbs_up :)

Cool to meet another newbie. :) Like the rest are sayin' just jump in already. As long as you're nice about it, we're all pretty cool. Try the haiku threads, or the various games, and definitely put your two cents in the discussions. There are very cool people and very cool things around here, you just have to look. :)
