We have such poets amongst our members that it would be a shame to pass this opportunity to offer them a chance to flex their poetic muscles!

- If you would like to take part in the competition, please PM your entry to me by December 26.

-The poems should be your own original work.

- The subject of the poem should be 'Christmas'.

- There is no restriction on length or style.

- One entry for each member, please.

- Those who enter the competition agree to keep their identities secret till the end of voting.

- The entries we receive will be posted anonymously on December 26th and our members will vote for their favorite poem.

- The winner will be the member who gets the most votes and announced on January 1st.

Good luck and happy writing!

Oh such short notice. I'm probably going to be too busy. But I'll try.

Oh such short notice. I'm probably going to be too busy. But I'll try.I am really sorry that I did not start this any sooner but sometimes the greatest works are produced in the last minute! :)

Next year, we can start a little earlier maybe.

ho ho ho - i think i got one! --- but SCHEH why don't you pick the WINNA since the notion of anonymity is an illusion here given our distinct styles, no?

but SCHEH why don't you pick the WINNA since the notion of anonymity is an illusion here given our distinct styles, no?The idea is rather tempting... Would save me the hassle of starting another thread, setting up a poll and all that but we are determined also to create an illusion of democracy here (PC, y'know!) so I think we will stick with polling! ;)

Deadline for submissions -> December 26th!
