Monologue suggestions

This upcoming school year I am taking senior drama and need a very good monologue to perform for my Tertiary Entrance Exams. My teacher prefers we do something from the 20th or 21st century. I am looking for something that isn't terribly specific to a context, with a very strong storyline, good for someone who is strong in voice projection, and with no need fof a strong accent of any sort. Comedy would be acceptable, but drama is more preffered. Can anyone suggest a good text or specific monologue that would fit most of these requirments? Anything suggestions would be very much appreciated. Many thanks!:D

Thank ye for the suggestion Jamesian! I am a fan of O'Neil and look forward to reading it. He's not on LitNet and i spent a good 15 minutes on search engines trying to find the script to that play, do you perhaps know where i can find it on the web? If not i will look into purchasing a copy...maybe they have one at the local 2nd hand shop....
