Nt Honors - Animal Farm

QUESTIONS

1) Was there any forshadowing in the novel? Can you think of any specifics.

2) Is there a way that communism CAN work? How?

3) What one - two aspects would you change about the plot, or what happens to the animals?

4) It is hard to believe that this is a satire; showing the happenings of what people actually went through...think of another instance - real life example of when a shocking historic event took place and the people didn't realize what was happening to them...

5) Why do you read Animal Farm and feel worse because animals are being taken advantage of, not people...Meaning, people wouldn't make you feel as badly.

i think you feel worse when your reading about animals being taken advantage of because, in the beginning the animals are being treated badley by the people. Their owner at "Manor Farm" forgets to feed them and care for them because he is always drinking. But when it is "Animal Farm" it is still sad cuz animals are doing it to eachother and the way the author tells u makes it all the more sad. with his vidid word choice!

One way communism could work is if the people, who initiated the idea of everyone being equal, do not become a over powering government.

I think that we feel worse about animals and not people because, animals can and do get taken advantage because they don't have a voice:bawling: of vs. people who are harder to take advantage of because we have a voice.

A reason i feel worse is because we eat animals and they can't do anything, vs. people where they can usually do something

for communisim to work it would require a society that does not work for capital or for personal gain. they would have to work for the betterment of society and for the betterment of the state.
