I recently finished reading Garth Nix's Abhorsen trilogy, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Are their any other fans out there? What are your favorite books/characters/quotes of his? How would you rate his ideas/style?

I loved those books. they well captivating.
i like his books a lot. But i'm sort of disappointed in him now - i loved Sabriel and Lirael; but Abhorsen, and most of the other books of his i've read, i didn't like as much.
also, welcome, Julia, and i love your avatar!!
Very entertaining books. Favourite character: Lirael

I agree. i wanted to know what was going to happen to her more than any of the other characters.
hes got a new book out called over the wall which is a collection of short stories including world book day story- creature in the case- was going to buy it as i like the abhorsen stories but slowly realised that that was the only one based on the books in it and i already read it so didnt bother.

Niamh-
I have The Wall. I read it a long time ago- it was rather dissapointing. Has anyone heard of his Keys to the Kingdom series? My ten-year-old brother is into those books. They are okay, but I think they are targeted to younger readers.

I absolutely loved the Abhorsen trilogy, though. The end made me cry. :( (Kind of lame, but hey, it was sad!)

If you haven't already, you should check out Phillip Pullman's His Dark Materials trilogy. I really enjoyed those books as well.
