Why would anyone do this?

Why would anyone be willing to leave their life behind, and do things they normaly wouldn't do? Such as throwing sulferic acid in a childs face and letting someone cut of there limbs to be someone they are not.It makes no since because Big Brother will always be there.

I agree. I think that they have no emotions at all, other wise they wouldn't even think of doing horrible things like... commit murder, commit acts of sabotage which could cause the death of hundreds of innocent people, or throw sulphuric acid in a child's face, commit suicide, and separate and never see each other again. In my opinion I would never do anything like that! I guess they really are against Big Brother.

I as well agree to you both. there is absolutely no way that someone can have emotions and commit murder or other crazy things. Its insane that anyone could throw sulphuric acid in a child's face, ecspecially since they are innocent children. They have got to be sick people in order to do that.

I agree with all if you it is so wrong to agree with something like throwing acid in a childs face.its just wrong..someone who agrees to this is basically saying they dont care about children or anyone else as long as what they are doing what is told of them so they wont get in trouble. :sick:

Winston and Julia are willing to do all of these things because they believe that what they are doing will help their society and oust Big Brother. They are already willing do die for this cause and they probably are thinking that anything that they may do will not be worse than the life that they are living now. Yes. our society does not understand this thinking because most of us don't understand those kind of horrors and can not fathom doing any of these things to go against the government but, Julia and Winston are very passionate about their cause.

okay, so to start off, i personally do not see how ANY one can throw sulfuric acid in a childs face,:sick: or even yet to throw sulfuric acid in any ones face. But i think that the people in this society have no emotions there for cannot feel pain or sorrow while throwing the acid.

people then are just like people now....for themselves....obviously theyd do anything to anyone else to make themselves happier..who in the right mind would do anything to hurt an innocent child? thats crazy if you ask me id rather die!! i wont even cut off anything to have what i want because most likely i wont be able to do what i want without my legs or arms..good point people
