Hi folks,
I've decided to print out some of your stories and maybe have them spiral bound at the copy shop. I'll read them over Christmas and try to give you detailed feedback after the holidays.
So far I've got:

*Virgil: Shop Talk
*Pendragon: The Case of the Cautious Casanova
*Ceahorse: His Vertigo
*Jolly: "unfinished text"
* Robin: Accursed Memory

is there anyone else who'd like to be included? Tell me what's good about your story? why should I read it? :D ;). Is there anything you'd like feedback on?

Mmm...something of mine would be nice. You can select the piece of your choosing, but Accursed Memory is the one I sort of like best between all of the ones I have online now.

I'm asking because it's the feedback I've gotten on it is a little open-ended, and although I've since made some tweaks, it's hard to know where to start. I promise it's short!

Thanks for the consideration, and I hope you decided to take me up on my offer,

Robin

hehe, will do :)
I've already read it and liked it a lot, but I will read it again and try to squeeze some intelligent comments out of my poor brain :)

Hi Sleepy! Can I get in on this killer deal? You could add one or both of the stories found in the link in my signature.

As for what's good about them, or why you should read them, I wrote an Introduction to my stories (http://www.online-literature.com/forums/blogs/viewblog.php?entry=134&userid=16931) in my blog, if you'd like to read it.

You could tell me about the level of emotion (said to be lacking) whether or not they have a point (said to be nonexistent) and whether or not they have endings (again, pointed out as a minus). I've also been told that they're hard to read because of the manner of dialogue (without quotation marks, as per much British literature) that the use of vernacular is very disruptive ("because I is so used to reading proper English") that they don't make any sense, and they're only beginnings. All of these things I disagree with entirely, of course, but I could definitely be wrong. I'd really appreciate your opinion.

This seems like an ambitious task you've designated for the holiday. :thumbs_up

Post script: I've printed out your revised "Revels before Lent," and will do my best to reciprocate.

hey Jean, no emotions, no point, no ending? sounds just like the kind of story i like :) I'm sure they're all there on a level deep below the surface :) hehehe :)
yep, I'll include your stories in my Christmas reading.
I'm not a genius when it comes to analysing and criticizing stories but I'll do my best :)

I dont have a story for you SleepyWitch but i really wanted to commend you on what a wonderful thing youre doing here! Its very generous and sweet of you to give up some of your holiday to help people with their writing. You deserve a magnificent holiday filled with deeds as kind as yourself :) A pretty bouquet for a beautiful heart and gesture:

thanks drama :)
it's not a problem. I like reading ppl's stories but during term I'm too busy/lazy/selfish, so I'm setting myself some homework to make sure I read them :)

oh? I didn't know I'm a writer of any caliber :)
I'm really no good at giving feedback but I'll try to do a 'close reading' and consider as many aspects as I can think of :)
