Why does Winston tell Julia about his past ? Is Orwell trying to tell us, the readers that Winston really likes her ?

I agree with you that Winston tells Julia about his past because he can trust her. Also that Julia is the first person that Winston can actually talk to and confide in. He's telling Julia some of his most deepest secretes and memories and she falls alseep on him. :as-sleep: Not to criticize anyone but I think that that's rude. Back to answering your question... it is possible that Orwell is trying to tell us that Winston likes Julia. Hope that helps! :thumbs_up
