Hi All:
I am new to the forum, and I'm here to ask a question. I came across an old book in storage recently and found inside it a hand written poem. I can tell it's very old, as the hand writing is "old school" and the paper is ancient. There is no author's name on it, but I'm wondering if this is a published poem or if it's someone's attempt at poetry. I'm not very familiar with poetry myself, so I have no idea what to do with this. Anyway, the first stanza (?) is this:
The Bard and the Maiden
The balls were scattered o'er the grass,
The youthfull Bard his home forsook,
For espied a pretty lass
And to her court his way he took.
Thanks,
MrsBear
