This is the perfume oil website that I mentioned in the bos thread. Anybody order from them?

Do you order from them? (sorry, I don't think I read the bos thread) It looks intriguing, but I am always hesitant to order things online unless I recognize the brand/store.

I wear Aveda oils so this looks good. If you do order, and they don't steal your money, let me know.

Which is the bos thread? That company looks very interesting but I have never heard of them. I have ordered stuff from Body Time (online and through the mail) and they have some nice essential oils, perfume oils and natural body care products.

opps, I meant boy's thread.

The posters on my hair website rave about the stuff but I haven't tried it yet. I'm intrigued by the names and descriptions.

One thing about Body Time is that they custom scent many products, such as shampoo, conditioner, bodywash and lotions...those are the basics. One thing I noticed is that many products that I get have all these clashing scents...the perfume is different from the shampoo and so on.

So, it's nice because you could get all of those products in one scent, sort of like coordinating them. They have this really nice fragrance called "China Rain" that is sort of this fresh floral kind of scent. You can get China Rain everything if you wanted...(well, except toothpaste because that would taste nasty...:p).

They also use natural essential oils to create some blends...their "vanilla orange ginger" smells really nice, and is also available in a wide variety of products.

Good grief, I expect the "boys" will be snickering at all this girl talk...but that is the name of the thread. ;)

I need a new fun color, but something that would match with my clothes...most of the time on my hands I go for pearly colors or light pinks or white...on my toes its normally orange or red...or some fun vibrant color. I felt the need to keep this one going...no one has been on it.

Okay, I haven't decided, but I've got a date for tommorrow...this guy that I never got along with from 7th grade through highschool...but he asked me out like 4 days ago. What should I wear? Something neutral, flashy(not gaudy), fun...demure...I dunno. I never expected this!

Yeah, but this is a guy that I have sworn to be in a constant arguement since I first moved to this place. And now, out of the blue, he decides to ask me out and I SAID YES! I don't even know if I like him! He's smart and handsome...decent guy, but we've always bonked heads in classes and outside of classes. SO I'm a little unsure of what to do. He has totally thrown my game of course!

Just conditioner. At first I didn't think it would work with product build up and oilyness but it works just fine my hair never looks dirty. It's a part of the Curly Girl Method.

There's a whole movement dedicted to such questions:

http://www.naturallycurly.com/index.php

Frizziness wasn't a problem when I was straightening but now that I'm au natural I need product. It's not necessarily a defrizzer but I find that Africa's Best Organics Shea Butter and Tea Tree Oil Moisturizer does the trick. I also use Beyond the Zone Frizz Zapper.

Man, I have extremely straight hair. It won't even hold a curl. I tried a perm once but that didn't work out. So I went to target and wasted money on a waver thingy --- kind of like the 80's crimping iron but the result is not so arts and crafts like the crimper (your hair looks like gift basket stuffing when you get finished with that stupid thing). Well this waver has deeper rounder ridges but it was time consuming and my hair still ended up straight as a board after a few hours. Stupid thing. Stupid hair.

My hair used to be wavy until I got pregnant then it curled up & stayed curly. I love the Curls Rock line by TIGI for keeping my hair curly but not frizzy. The trick for me is to let my hair dry on its own after putting in the product - just pulling my blow dryer out of the drawer is enough to make my hair frizz. And don't touch it until it's dry! Once it dries, I just fluff it up to separate some of the curls & to get rid of the "crunchiness" of the product, maybe a little bit of hairspray & I'm good to go.

Also, I only wash it every 3 or 4 days but I conidition it daily.

BAKIRYU - I envy you people with straight hair! You know how difficult is to hide long extremely curly hair under a cap!? And if it cut it: it's worse!

Same here! When I wake up, my hair looks as if I've combed it with a towel & if I cut it too short, it's even more work to get it to look like something.

I always have my hairdresser straighten it for me when he cuts it. Let HIM spend 45 minutes with a blow dryer & flat iron, I pay him enough! But then, you know what? It starts to bug me because it's always falling in my face. At least when it's curly, it's not in my eyes.

Let's face it, we all want what we don't have. My less-endowed girlfriends want my bustline while I pine for the pre-puberty days of being able to wear a cute little top with spaghetti straps without having to hunt down a bra that doesn't stick out all over the place. Only to then have the cute little top drape straight down from my chest so that I look 8 months pregnant.

Well, my hair is really weird. It's wavy, a little bit. Like in between staright and curly. I hate wasting time worrying about my hair, even though I would love to have it look better. It's boring...worrying about my appearance. But I also DESPISE being noticed appearance-wise.

So usually I have this really crazy, tangled, mad scientist hair. Which works for me, I guess. My mom always gets mad at me for it, though. The tangled part.

But my bangs are ALWAYS limp and I hate that. Stupid limp bangs.

My friend actually straightened my hair the other day and it looked alright...but again it's the convinience thing. Plus it takes up energy.

I normally don't do anything except for a ponytail or a bun...unless I have stuff that makes it defrizz..,my friends hair is like yours...she just puts puts a bit of gel and water in her hand and scrunches...its quick and easy. Or there is mousse that just gives it some body...my mom does that for her bangs...she also has limp bangs...but she also has really thin hair and I have super thick hair.

I have the same problem, but mine tends to be strait on the top and curly underneath. I just grow it long and wear a lot of ponytails. Any ideas on a good look for when I go back to working in an office? I've thought about a perm just to make it all curly, but my hair is so think I would look as if I had put my finger in the wall outlet. I'm thinking of trying one of those make over deals and hope that they can come up with something. Besides, it is about time I cut it short again since my hair breaks easy because it is fine. Maybe I'll shave it and wear a wig:lol:

Try the mousse thing. There are some that you just scrunch in and can let it air dry or blow dry. They even everything out. You could also straighten it?! But on some people it doesn't work. My hair is big and curly so when I straighten it, it changes my face shape...which sometimes is a good thing. Do you have layers? Sometimes that helps a lot.

My hair is too fine to straiten. I can't even blow dry it without causing damage... I'll try the mousse and I've also remembered smoothing wax, or something like that. Maybe those will help a little. No layers yet, but I'm planning to go get it all cut in a day or so to get rid of the split ends. I think I'll have some added then and see from there. If I can lose all the weight I want then I might go back to short and spikey. That look was a good one when I'm thin, but not with the extra baby pounds.

Probably she's already got some eggs on her head. You might like to get rid of those first by using Lyclear two or three times. Tea tree oil shampoo will stop them coming but not destroy the existing ones.

umm the best bet is to go to wal-mart or someplace like that and its like 22$ its a comb, and it shocks nits, and bugs, spray everything and comb her hair with it daily... it saves your hair alot, the chemical shampoos damage your hair, where as the comb just kills the bugs... it should help. you may want to file a complaint with the health board, because i belive its like this everywhere, but at least in texas, the child has to go thru a check before they can come back to school... hope this helps, it also takes less time than the conditioner thing  my hair reaches my knees, so i completly understand that one. but yeah its "robicomb" or something like that it realy works pretty well...

when I was younger my mum used to watch my hair with alcohol and then just pull the suckers out. It worked but she has to have straight hair unless you want to work hours at it.

Ok Ladies, Anybody know where I can find a cute and functional laptop bag?? I would like a messenger type bag. All I've been able to find are those generic manly black bags.

Ain't paying for the bag more than what I have paid for the laptop!

:goof:

Go to amazon and type laptop bags in the search area. There are really nice and cute ones for less than $100 (which is still too much, I think).

Ok this might seem like a bit of a stupid question, but how are you menat to clean out your ears?
Ihave had loads of problems with my ears over the last couple of months, and though I can finally listen to music again headphones are still a big no no. Anyway all the differnt antibiotic drops and sprays and also the geral muck left from the infections have filled my ears up and there is no way I am pokking cotton buds into my ears- the last thing I need to add to the mix is blood or a perferated ear drum.
So the question is how do you clean your ears?
Im making yet another apointment with the doctors my ear has been twinging again over the last couple of days-hopefully Ill finally get to see my GP atlast, instead of stand ins, but the point is i forever asking them stupid seeming questions, like one time said something like you say regullay check for lumps but noone has actually told me how I should be checking and where exactly and what Im actually looking for- did you know you're meant to check all the way up into you arm pits? well I didnt!

Ears - I dunno nightie. How about one of those syringes and warm water? I've seen ear irrigation products in stores.

http://www.goaskalice.columbia.edu/0411.html

You should clean the external portions of your ears every time you take a shower or bath. To clean the inner portion of your ears, do not use cotton swabs (Q-tips)-- they only push any wax that is present further into your ear canal. Try a hot shower to liquefy the wax and use a wash cloth to wipe out the ear canal. If you know that you have wax build-up, you can also occasionally use a few drops of an over-the-counter wax softener and then flush the canal gently with warm water and a bulb syringe.

Lumps - I knew you had to check the sides but only learned to check way the heck up to the armpits only recently.

Right back to hot showers it is then....

And exactly might point... if they are goiung to make a fuss about checking for lumps they m,ight actually show people how to do it.

having had 6 ear infections in the last 3 months, i see where you are at. qtips are a nono for me. and well i found these ear candles, it creates a suction and it pulls the wax and other gunk out without the risk of damaging your ear. just use a plate under it in case when you go to trim it the ash drops.

I read that these ear candles were a scam. If you burn the candle away from your ear, it will drip the same funk you thought was coming out of your ear.

I heard that also.

My friends mom used to roll up a newspaper, stick that in his ear, and light the other end on fire.
