The air is leaking from my lungs
As i strive for the ultimate goal
The Marcahuasi as they call it
And i see it high above

I look back at my friend
As we struggle the long path
Hurting feet and hurting backs
We give it all we´ve got!

The wind is blowing in my face
Sending shivers down my spine
As my little heat source inside
Just say: Go On! Go On! Go On!

And as i feel my time is done
My soul should go back home
I see my feet has reached the top
Which was my only goal

We look back down Without a smile
Because we have no air
The Marcahuasi is how they call it
But i would call it Hell

That would be hell...... but with a view right? (Putting on a property agent sales pitch) "Look sir, if you're going to buy in hell then at least look at location - take Everest - it has a view to die for.."

Sorry about that - just enjoyed your poem because I do a bit of hiking and sometimes those mountains are so torturous!!
