I thought it would be interesting to see how others say good night.
For example, when I go to sleep, I always say to my parents, "Buenas noches. Que suenen con los angelitos y con muchas cosas mas buenas tambien." Meaning, "Good night. Dream with the little angels and with many more good things too."

It's not a special way to say goodnight really (meaning that it's not unique to us) but we say "Sweet Dreams" or plain old "Good night."

Well,
"Buenas noches. Ya me voy a la cama." = "Good night. I am going to bed now."

Do you have a unique way of saying Good Morning? I like "Good Morning Starshine the Earth Says Hello!"

For the morning, we say, "Buenos dias. Como amaneciste hoy?" = "Good morning. How was your sleep?" The literal translation would actually be, "Good morning. How did you wake up?"

I love to say good morrow in the morning, but it freaks some people out :p Sometimes with my friends when joking around, i recite a few pieces of the balcony romeo and juliet scene from "parting is such sweet sorrow", not my usual thing though :p:D

Thank you Night. I asked a Muslim fellow at work if there was an Islamic holiday around this time of year (because I didn't want him to feel left out when people were wishing each a happy holiday) and he said there was one at the end of the month. I think he said it was Eid. Well have a Happy Eid, if I got that correct.
As to the subject of this thread, when I saw you posted, I automatically thought of Nighty Night. :D

and yes Eid this saterday!! I can hardly wait excpet that day so I miss out on going to the mosque and by the time I get home the hungry barbarians that are my youngest sisters will have eaten all the choclate, but other than that I cant wait.
but back to the thread in egypt one person will say wake up to good and the reply is wake up to light(can also mean good beauty etc etc).
And in the morning you say good morning/light morning or and the problem is I cant find out what the flower is called its white and about the top section of my thumb it grows on a massive shrub/bush thing has a strong smell but the is especially strong at night or rather at dusk. ( I think it might be pollinated by bats??)
and it egypt its called Full.
Anyway you somtimes Full morning as in seeing you this morning is a as fantastic and beautiful and great as a full flower.
